Job Title: Social Media & Digital EngagementSummer Intern
Location: Clifton, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 2–3 Months (Summer Seasonal Role)
Key Responsibilities:
- Take partial/full ownership of social media accounts across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others as needed)
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content that drives awareness, growth, and member engagement
- Monitor platform activity closely, including engagement, reach, and audience growth, and proactively improve performance
- Analyze performance data and prepare weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations
- Track trends on social media across industries bring fresh ideas, and recommend new content or campaign strategies
- Help plan, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other platforms)
- Test new ideas, adapt strategies based on results, and ensure content remains relevant and effective
- Support digital campaigns promoting financial products, services, and community initiatives
- Collaborate with team members while taking full ownership of assigned social media initiative
- Support the development and execute a social media strategy aligned with the credit union’s brand, mission, and community goals
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Hands-on experience managing or growing social media accounts (personal, academic, or professional) with strong engagement
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and apply social media knowledge independently
- Strong understanding of social media trends, content strategies, and audience engagement
- Creative mindset with the ability to bring fresh ideas and recommend improvements
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to contribute ideas
- Ability to work during standard business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing social media for a business, organization, or personal brand
- Familiarity with analytics tools, content creation tools (e.g., Canva), or paid advertising platforms
- Interest in financial services or community-focused organizations
